FAQ

Description

The Valve Crystal is designed to be closer to an amplifier than an effects pedal.
The amplifier model is the JM signature model, which was instrumental in making the TR-AMP famous.
Only about 20 of these machines were produced worldwide, and they still command very high prices in the market today.
This integrated amplifier circuit is a faithful reproduction using vacuum tubes.

The circuit this is based on is the clean channel of the legendary DUMBLE amplifier.

The Valve Crystal uses the same integrated signal circuitry as amplifier construction, delivering a sparkling, clean sound.
Unlike many effects pedals bearing the "DUMBLE" name, this unit does not offer a flashy drive sound.

By combining this unit's brilliant, almost glass-shattering sound with a TS-style overdrive, I believe you can achieve the Dumble tone, SRV sound, and other sounds you might be imagining.

To achieve a compact chassis, a power transformer is not used; instead, a high voltage of approximately 250V is applied internally to drive the vacuum tubes.
I chose the JJ Electronics 12AX7 vacuum tube.
The internal components are meticulously crafted, using Orange Drop capacitors and DALE plate load resistors, just like building an actual amplifier.

The three tone controls and the natural reverberation produced by the vacuum tube amplification are superb.
This device does not have a footswitch bypass function due to its design.
In addition to the amplifier's input, we also recommend using the return input on studio amplifiers and the like.
If possible, connecting it to a power amplifier using 6L6 vacuum tubes will result in a specification closer to the actual unit.
This is highly recommended for those who are bothered by the digital sound produced by line connections when recording at home.

• This is the DC jack for connecting the power adapter.
Please use DC12V (500mA or higher recommended).
• ON/OFF power switch on the unit. Electricity flows to the vacuum tubes and circuitry (always turn it OFF after use and make sure the LED is off).
• INPUT: This is the input for guitar and signal.
• OUTPUT: Preamp output section (for connecting guitar amp, power amp, simulator, etc.)

- Adjust the GAIN gain.
• MASTER: Adjusts the overall volume. Please start from 0.
Passive type EQ
• TREBLE: Adjusts the high frequencies of the tone.
- MIDDLE: Adjusts the mid-range frequencies of the tone.
・BASS: Adjusts the low-frequency range of the tone.

The toggle switch removes the MID input frequency limit and boosts the midrange.
- DEEP: The high frequencies are cut, resulting in a thicker, rounder tone.
・BRIGHT: The overall tone will be brighter.
*All switches follow the EQ setting. Please set them together with the EQ.

Condition: No problems with use. Note: DC 12V (500mA or higher recommended)
Accessories: Box, instruction manual. Warranty: No warranty. Sold as is.
