Description

Carefully selected specimens by our store staff!!

From the multiple instruments provided by Moridaira Musical Instruments' headquarters, we selected one with a rich sound and a soft tone.
Compared to other instruments, it has a rich, expansive midrange, and you can really feel the soft tone that you expect from cedar wood.

The relaxed, mellow tone is perfectly suited to ballad-style music. The rosewood provides excellent high-frequency clarity, making it an excellent choice for those who play strumming-style solo guitar.

We select instruments with no neck warping, so you can use this guitar with confidence for a long time without worrying about buzzing or intonation issues.

MORRIS HAND MADE PREMIUM
The S-102III, a legendary fingerstyle guitar from yesteryear.

Maurice, a Japanese manufacturer with a long history, has a wide range of fans, from legendary musicians to amateurs.
Despite their meticulous craftsmanship, they boast incredible cost performance and offer a wide lineup that covers everything from folk style to fingerstyle.

Morris, a long-established Japanese brand that dominated the folk music boom of the 1970s, also played a key role in the 2000s by developing and releasing a guitar perfectly suited to the new movement known as "fingerstyle guitar," and in spreading and popularizing that style within Japan.
Introduced in 2001 as a dedicated fingerstyle guitar, the S series gained popularity for its exceptional playability and outstanding sound, and has undergone numerous improvements since then. It remains a beloved "masterpiece of fingerstyle guitars," enjoyed by everyone from beginners to veterans, and continues to be popular even more than 20 years later.

This "S-102III" is the third-generation model of the S-102, which is particularly popular within the S series due to its all-around ease of use.
This guitar features a Grand Auditorium/Deep Round body, a solid American cedar top, solid Indian rosewood sides and back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The unique rounded back design maintains a well-balanced frequency range while delivering a rich and full bass.
Furthermore, thanks to the improved bracing and internal body structure compared to the previous model, the sound has more power while also having increased airiness.
Compared to the classic S-101, this guitar offers a softer, warmer tone and better responsiveness to lighter touches, making it easier to play in fingerstyle.
With its long scale length providing exceptionally stable pitch even in drop tuning, Gotoh tuners, a 44mm wide nut that prevents finger fatigue during intricate fingerings, and an ultra-thin neck shape, this guitar is packed with features that perfectly meet the meticulous demands of fingerstyle guitarists, making it a reliable companion.

The fact that it's entirely domestically produced, entirely handmade, and made of solid wood, all for around 200,000 yen, offers excellent value for money, which is also very appealing.
This is highly recommended as a "step-up" model for those new to the Feingar style!
Experience the ever-evolving fingerstyle and the power of these legendary instruments for yourself!
