Description
A used Fender USA American Vintage '62 Jaguar has arrived!

The Jaguar was introduced in mid-1962 as the top-of-the-line model, surpassing even the Jazzmaster, which had previously been positioned as a higher-end model than the Stratocaster and Telecaster.

While retaining features similar to the Jazzmaster, such as the offset contour body, front pickup preset circuit, and floating tremolo, this model boasts a variety of attractive specifications befitting a higher-end model, including a 24-inch, 22-fret short-scale neck and a slide-switch type pickup ON/OFF switch mounted on a chrome plate.

Initially popular within the surf music scene, this model has recently gained popularity in the grunge and garage rock scenes for its edgy and aggressive sound.

This guitar has had its pickups replaced with Seymour Duncan pickups, and by using thicker pole pieces than typical single-coil pickups, it has been transformed into a Jaguar that has gained overwhelming power despite being a single-coil size.

Beyond its thick, clean sound, it also pairs exceptionally well with the sound characteristics of genres like alternative, grunge, and shoegaze when combined with heavy distortion or fuzz.

*Regarding the condition, the frets have been leveled, so there are no dents or anything like that, and about 50% remains. The fret height is about 1.7mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string and about 1.8mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string, and there are no buzzing or dead spots, and there is plenty of adjustment range left in the truss rod.
The electrical system is in good working order, but there is extensive paint peeling, dents, scratches, and faded decals, and rust and corrosion are visible on the metal parts.

* The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncans, the bridge with a Tune-o-matic, the strap pins with locking type pins, a buzz stop has been added, and the pickguard under the bridge has been modified to allow for lower string action.

*Please refer to the photos for any particularly noticeable large scratches or damage.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
