Daedalus is a plate-style reverb. The initial concept for its development was to replicate the sound of the latest Belton 3 brick reverb.
After much trial and error, the idea of ​​adding Depth and Preamp circuits, as well as an effects loop, was incorporated.
By using a discrete JFET preamplifier circuit and an external effects unit (effects loop) that applies only to the effects component, you can achieve special effects that are unattainable with conventional reverb.
Distorting the reverb, adding modulation effects, pitch shifting... the possibilities are endless.

■Two ways to use the Exp terminal
The Exp terminal on Daedalus has two uses.

• Expression: Connect an expression pedal to control the amount of reverb. The setting on the REVERB knob will be the maximum value when the expression pedal is pressed down. Please connect using a TRS cable.

- Effects Loop: You can connect external effects pedals to distort or modulate the reverb component.
Use a TRS-to-Y cable (sold separately) to connect external effects pedals.

■ Effect loop that allows you to apply external effects to the reverb component
You can connect an external effects pedal to the Exp terminal using a TRS-Y cable.
The effect pedal connected there will only affect the reverb component. (*The original sound will not be affected.)
Inserting a modulation effect will give you a reverb effect with added "swell," while inserting a distortion effect will distort only the reverb component.
During the trial and error process, we considered incorporating the Shimmer function, which is currently popular, but ultimately, the idea was consolidated into the effects loop for greater flexibility.
In short, inserting a pitch-shifting effect will produce a high-quality shimmer effect. The mix of effects inserted into the effects loop is controlled by BLEND.

■Preamp control to boost the sound: Equipped with a discrete onboard JFET preamp.
Higher settings boost the reverb component, intensifying the effects of decay (reverberation) and reverb time.
At the same time, it also affects the sound, intensifying the slightly distorted, compressed feel characteristic of analog signals.
If an external effect is connected to the Exp terminal, the volume of that effect will also be amplified.

■REVERB II Switch This footswitch allows you to switch between two Reverb (typical Wet) controls.
Reverb (normal mode) is set to short reverb, and Reverb II (footswitch ON) is set to long reverb, allowing for instant switching between the two.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
