Description
Description
Led by George Farlanet, a leading Canadian luthier, F-bass is a select group of handmade bass guitar makers whose instruments have established a unique and original style while maintaining a feel similar to a jazz bass. As high-quality 5-string basses, they have gained immense popularity among top players worldwide, regardless of genre.
While BN guitars are often made with ash bodies, this particular model uses an alder solid body, resulting in an extremely lightweight instrument with a total weight of approximately 3.73 kg. Despite its light weight, the bass string side horn extends beyond the 12th fret, and the body design ensures excellent balance even when playing while standing.
This level of lightness is rarely achieved even with a 4-string bass.
Featuring a 34.5-inch three-piece quarter-sawn maple neck and original pickups and preamp, this bass delivers a solid low end and deep midrange, producing a sweet, enveloping sound not only for rhythm playing but also for solo performances.
The rich, full low B note and the moderate compression that brings it together are incredibly pleasing. This is an excellent instrument that achieves a well-balanced, traditional sound that pays homage to Fender, and it's no exaggeration to say that it's a model that can always become the main bass for bassists of all styles.
Our custom-ordered models feature a Master Volume + Balancer control scheme instead of two Volume controls, making them ideal for both band members and studio musicians looking for a user-friendly setup for live performances.
This unit's body color is Urban Ivy, which features a Super Shift technology that primarily uses green but can also appear blue or purple depending on how the light hits it. It appears dark when the stage lights are dim, and instantly makes its presence known the moment the lights come on.
Including the weight, these specifications truly make it a one-of-a-kind creation.
In recent years, the number of these items imported into Japan has become extremely small, so many people may not have had the opportunity to actually see and touch them. Don't miss this chance!
*The balancer's drive direction is the same as Sadowsky, with clockwise rotation for the rear and counterclockwise rotation for the front.
