A recommended used Gibson Custom Shop Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard VOS has arrived! It was made in 2017.
This pen boasts an exceptional blue color that makes a real statement!

The Historic Collection, which had disappeared with the introduction of the True Historic in 2015, was revived in 2016 as the "Standard Historic," inheriting the specifications of the 2014 Historic Collection, in response to requests for its return. The Standard Historic was produced again in 2017, and with the discontinuation of the True Historic in 2018, the same specifications were revived as part of the Historic Collection.

This latest arrival is the Standard Historic 1958 LP, which offers a robust and satisfying sound!
Moreover, this is an exceptional piece with a striking presence, featuring the rare Bahama Blue color on the body top, back, and neck back!
I suspect these are either M2M (Made to Measure) orders, which are small orders that may include one-of-a-kind pieces, or PSL (Pre-Sold Limited) orders, which are bulk orders.
Around 2017, Standard Historic serial numbers started with "R" or "0," but this particular unit's serial number is "871098."
However, given its age, it is definitely classified as Standard Historic.

The "Standard Historic," which was born in 2016 as a successor to the long-loved "Historic Collection" as the top line, uses hide glue for the body top/back bonding in 2017, just like the True Historic. Furthermore, it also uses True Historic plastic parts!

This Standard Historic model follows the specifications of the 2014 Historic Collection, and because 2014 was an anniversary year, it continues to use a medal-shaped commemorative plate on the toggle plate. A regular black plate is also included.

It features a maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The neck has a thick, substantial shape, providing a satisfying grip. You can enjoy the rich resonance of the neck.

It features a vintage tone that's not too heavy and has a slightly aged character. You can enjoy a tone full of bite!

Weighing approximately 3.93kg, this guitar delivers that signature Les Paul sound with a solid, resonant tone!
From the punchy lows to the edgy, biting highs, this model boasts incredible sound pressure, a fast attack, and a resilient, sustained tone—it's simply superb! It will fully demonstrate the capabilities of one of the world's top electric guitars in both live performances and recordings!

We've just received this recommended used item! It's a 2017 model.
While there are some minor scratches, small dents, small paint indentations from the original construction, uneven paintwork, paint peeling, tarnishing of parts, and rust, the overall condition is fairly good. We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so this is a highly recommended guitar that is ready to use immediately.
There is some wear on the front pickup escutcheon from picking, but it does not affect or cause any problems with current use.
Because this is a VOS finish, due to the characteristics of that finish, scratches and rust may have appeared on the original paintwork and parts. This particular unit also has rust and scratches on the studs, tailpiece, and screws of the escutcheon. There are no problems or issues with its operation.

The frets have been leveled and it's ready to use. Approximately 85% of the fret life remains.
The nuts are in good working order and function normally. The truss rods also function correctly for normal adjustments.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

As mentioned earlier, the weight is approximately 3.93 kg. This balance produces a solid, focused sound.
