This instrument features a traditional '60s JB bass-style 5-string with an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The optional roasted maple neck delivers a well-seasoned attack and a clear, crisp sound from the moment you pick it up. The traditional lacquer finish adds a touch of aged elegance to the instrument, while also providing a well-balanced sound with rich overtones and a refined tone that sounds as if it's already been played. The rich, fat low-mid notes and lustrous high-mid notes, combined with the rich tone of the alder, provide a comfortable, balanced response all the way down to the low B string. This instrument also features optional Raw Vintage Pickups. These hand-wired pickups deliver the crisp, crisp, and warm tone you expect from a hand-wired pickup, delivering a rich sound even when used passively.

The preamp, a defining feature of this brand's basses, is equipped with our original Tri-logic active preamp, which covers a full range of boost while minimizing tonal changes. While the various controls may seem cumbersome and complex at first glance, they are actually designed to help players create the sound they desire, with precise purpose and solid support. The two mini switches on the top of the body allow you to switch between the mid-range frequency band (400Hz/800Hz), which is crucial for bass sound, and the high-range frequency band (6KHz/12KHz), which are extremely convenient for fine-tuning ensemble blends, adjusting thickness, and tone crispness, all of which can be done instantly once you get used to them. Other features include active/passive switching, a switch to series wiring when both pickups are on, and a preamp gain adjustment trim on the back panel, making this an instrument with more than enough potential to become a reliable companion for any player.

TUNERS
The machine head is made of Hipshot Ultralite, which is known for its consistent quality and accuracy. Its light weight helps prevent the head from falling off.

FRET
The frets are made with Jescar Fret Wire, a high-quality fret wire also used by Gibson, Martin, and Tom Anderson. The wire is extremely durable and reliable, making it perfect for everyday use. The model number is FW-47104. It has just the right amount of height and is known for its pitch stability.

BODY
The Alder and Ash are medium weight, which provides a certain amount of weight for a stable, solid low and low-mid range. The heel cut at the neck joint is uniquely rounded, which greatly enhances playability in the high positions.

Features include a volume control (push/pull for active/passive operation), a 3-band EQ, a mid/treble frequency toggle switch, and a 20dB boost. This preamp offers full-range boost without significantly altering the tone.
