Description

Our flagship brand "BLACK SMOKER", the Tradmaster series with a lacquer and aged finish

"BLACK SMOKER" is a handmade brand from BLACK CLOUD, a workshop in Nagano Prefecture, a mecca for musical instrument manufacturing where many brands are located. This brand has already gained popularity among many professional musicians for its sophisticated and high-quality sound, playability, and looks. It's a notable brand created by three people: CEO Kuroiwa, who has been involved in the design and manufacturing of numerous manufacturers and models, young builder Yanagisawa, who collaborates with him, and builder Itasaka, who has worked for a long-established Japanese brand.

The highly acclaimed and popular "TradMaster" series is a 5-string model with simple, standard specs that allow you to enjoy the brand's true value, finished with a vintage feel thanks to a lacquer finish and aged finish.
This guitar features a standard alder body, maple neck, and maple construction. While the specs are simple, you'll immediately notice that the materials used are carefully selected.
Despite being a passive instrument, it produces a well-balanced and clear sound all the way down to the low B range, and it is no exaggeration to say that this is the pinnacle of quality among Japanese brands. The maple's attack produces a pleasant sound whether played with a pick or with a slap, making this instrument recommended for band bassists.

This bass directly conveys the "quality of construction" of the instrument itself, with features such as a neck shape that is narrow for ease of play but does not lose the core of the sound, an original pickup with power adjusted specifically for this series that accurately reproduces the resonance of the body while producing a full sound, and a smooth setup that allows for stress-free playing. It has a rich sound without excessive peaking, and depending on the settings and playing style, it is a bass that can be used for any style of performance, regardless of genre or sound.
The stylish lacquer finish with an aged finish, aged parts modified for this series like the pickups, and vintage-style bridge all contribute greatly not only to the looks but also to a thicker, more imposing sound.

In terms of appearance, although the bass is a major color, black, the carefully applied heavy aging process gives each one a unique presence as a bass guitar.
While boasting a vintage-like look thanks to the aged finish, the playability and sound pressure are truly in keeping with the brand's pride, and it's truly impressive. It's a fantastic bass that fulfills the ideal of "what if a vintage low B5 string existed?" to a very high level, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Due to the limited production numbers, this is a highly sought-after brand, and the number of units available is extremely limited. This bass is recognized by professionals for both its playability and sound, and its quality has already made a big name for itself in the scene.
