FAQ

Description

We have a used Martin D-41, a top-of-the-line model from the long-established manufacturer, with a rich sound.

Regarding the condition of this instrument, upon arrival, it is thoroughly inspected at our affiliated workshop and the following repairs and adjustments are carried out.

・Bridge peeling repair ・Bracing peeling repair ・Head binding peeling repair

The exterior shows signs of use such as scratches and dents typical of used items. The back of the neck has a glossy finish due to use. There are no visible paint cracks.
There are no noticeable clogging or buzzing sounds that would interfere with performance.

The frets have about 70% of their thread remaining, the nut appears to have been replaced with a new one, and there is still room in the grooves.
The rod is working fine and there is room for adjustment.

This is a wonderful instrument with a rich midrange, open overtones, and the big sound that is characteristic of scalloped bracing.
Since there are many vintage D-41s on the market, this is a recommended model for players looking for a D-41 that can be used without any worries.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Martin has combined traditions passed down over a long history with innovation to become a long-established name in the acoustic guitar world, and continues to captivate the world with its sound.

The D-41 was developed in 1968. It was born from a request to have a D-28 decorated like the D-45. Its design differs from both the D-45 and D-42, and in order to offer better cost performance than the more expensive D-45, it omits the abalone inlays on the sides and back of the fingerboard. However, it still features the impressive vertical logo on the headstock, giving it a far more gorgeous appearance than the standard model. Its vibrant D-28 sound and gorgeous inlays have earned it a loyal following.

The scalloped bracing allows for a light touch to produce a glass-like sound.

The body is crafted from a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard—a classic combination. The powerful bass and clear, edgy sound are unique and hard to find in any other model, making this a truly captivating guitar in terms of tone, looks, and presence.
