Description

The King of Les Paul!! 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS now in stock!

Gibson Custom Shop was established in 1993 to create the finest electric guitars and basses using high-quality manufacturing techniques, an insatiable spirit of inquiry, and carefully selected materials, cultivated over many years. The Custom Shop lineup, still built using traditional handcrafting methods and a thorough knowledge of vintage instruments, is unrivaled in its exquisite craftsmanship, and is sure to become the ultimate beloved instrument that will endlessly inspire the player's innermost inspiration.

This model is one of the popular lemon-colored models, "Dirty Lemon."
The individual weight is approximately 3.96 kg, which is an exquisite weight for a Les Paul, allowing you to enjoy the natural resonance that follows your picking and the sweet, full-bodied sound that is characteristic of a Les Paul.

The unique 1959 Les Paul body grain and color, which changes depending on the light and angle, recreates the distinctive look and feel of Gibson's Golden Era guitars. While modern 1959 models are typically aged by Murphy Lab, this model features a VOS finish with a subdued semi-gloss finish that is free of weathering. The metal parts are adorned with rust and tarnish, making this a must-have for anyone who doesn't like weathering or aging.

The neck shape is the "Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape," which is neither too thick nor too thin, making it suitable for modern playing styles.

The pickups continue to use the Custombucker Alnico III, a standard model in recent years. The crisp bite and rich tone balance of each individual pickup will give you an exquisite sound that can only be found on this instrument.

Equipped with a newly installed Bumblebee-type paper oil capacitor and a 500k CTS potentiometer with a vintage curve. Compared to a standard 500kΩ potentiometer, the high frequencies aren't cut off as dramatically even when the volume is turned down, allowing you to freely control everything from clean to drive sounds with just a touch of the finger. Distortion is maintained from the 10 to 6 setting, and then smoothly decreases from 6 to 1, allowing for expressive playing depending on the length of the volume control.

*As for the condition, there are no dents or other damage to the frets, and more than 80% of the frets remain. There is also ample room for the truss rod.
The electrical system is also in good condition, and the unit shows relatively little signs of use, with only a few shallow dents and scratches, and slight corrosion on the metal parts.

*Please refer to the photos for any particularly noticeable scratches.
