Description
Yamaha has been developing many original models with a strong, distinctive character since the dawn of Japanese guitar production in the 1960s. In particular, since the 1970s, they have produced hit models such as the SG and BB, which have earned high praise both domestically and internationally, especially among Japanese vintage fans.
This time we have the "BJ-PRO" in stock, which was produced from 2000 to 2005, and is a legitimate reproduction of Yamaha's iconic SG-7 Blue Jeans model.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.0 kg. The body is made of alder, and the distinctive body shape is beautifully reproduced. It comes in "Royal Pearl White," one of five colors available, the same popular color as the higher-end model, the "TBJ-CST." While there are some minor scratches, dents, and some tarnish and rust on the metal parts, the guitar is in relatively good condition. The armbar has been replaced.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The tuners are locking, and they function well with little variation in winding. The neck is in excellent condition, just like the body, with only a scratch on the back of the headstock, a thin scratch near the back of the first fret, and a few other small scratches. The frets appear to have been filed and adjusted in the past, and playability is excellent. The nut width is approximately 40.0mm. The neck shape is quite slim in both width and thickness, reminiscent of the classic SG-7.
[Electrical system]
The controls are 1 volume, 1 tone, balancer, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. The pickups are two original single coils, featuring TBJ/BJ pickup covers. The pickups and circuitry are the same as those used in the TBJ-CST.
