The Yamaha BB Bass has been boldly redesigned with the modern music scene in mind, based on the concept of "the strongest bolt-on passive bass." This is the BB235, a 5-string variation model for entry-level players, manufactured overseas for excellent cost performance!
This model inherits the wood materials from the BB's higher-end models, featuring an alder body, one-piece maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The headstock finish is a matte black finish, following the variation models, and it features ceramic magnet PJ pickups and a simple one-ply pickguard. The pickup covers feature a generic design, but can be customized to your liking. The controls feature two volume controls and one tone control, allowing for fine adjustment of each pickup balance.
This model does not feature the 6-bolt miter joint neck joint mechanism or miter stringing bridge found in other higher-end models, but by simplifying the parts, assembly, and design structure, we have achieved a significant price reduction that makes it more affordable than ever for those just starting out with bass.
