The elegant Patriot fretless model from MAYONES, a Polish company.
The Mayones fretless PATRIOT MR is a signature model by Maurizio Rolli, known for his work with renowned artists such as Jim Hall, Mike Stern, and Bob Mintzer. As a player of both wood and electric bass, Rolli's signature model perfectly combines the unique characteristics of both instruments into a single instrument.
The hollow body construction, made of three layers of flame maple, wenge, and spruce, combines the fullness of an acoustic instrument with the expansive sound of a fretless bass, while the thinly processed neck, made of a nine-piece laminate of maple and mahogany, maintains solid rigidity. It's a perfect match for fretless basses and hollow bodies.
The pickups are Nordstrand FatStacks. The push/pull volume pot allows you to switch between a thick humbucker and a crisp single pickup. The Aguilar OBP-3 preamp adds power and brilliance as needed, making this an extremely versatile instrument that satisfies any user's needs. Although there are some string marks on the fingerboard and picking scratches near the finger lamps, it is generally in good condition.
