Description

Pat Metheny New Signature Model!!

Pat Metheny's new signature model is packed with his desire for many players to get their hands on it, and he has put a lot of effort into creating it, from looks to sound!

- The head shape, fingerboard inlays, tailpiece, control knobs, and body color all feature a classic design that Pat likes, and we've paid particular attention to the look.

- Spruce top / Maple back & sides The spruce top is used for the body, which is also used for violins and acoustic guitars and is known for its excellent vibration transmission and natural tone without any quirks.
Maple, which is known for its crisp, clear tone, is used for the back and sides.
In addition, a very thin open-pore paint is applied to give it a vintage-like finish. (※)

・Nyatoh wood / Maple wood 3-piece neck

- Ebony fingerboard: Ebony is used, which is characterized by its quick sound attack and rich sustain.

Artstar Fret Edge Treatment: The fret edges are rounded to reduce stress when playing, resulting in a superior playing feel.

- A bone nut, a standard feature for hollow guitars, with a natural sound and minimal quirks.

- Gibraltar Performer This is a zinc bridge with the front and rear adjustment screws for the bridge saddles located on the tailpiece side.
The design allows the driver to be inserted from the tailpiece side, making it easier to adjust the saddle forward and backward.

PM Special Single Coil Pickup This Ibanez pickup was created after many prototypes were made, reflecting Pat's preferences over a long period of time.
The bass is not boomy, making it easy to add picking nuances, and it has the crisp brightness that is typical of a single coil.
Pat's attention to detail can also be seen in the classic style in which the pickup body is placed on a large metal plate and then secured in place by hanging the metal plate from the body with three screws.

(※) Note about appearance: Due to the very thin open-pore finish, there may be some unevenness in the wood and binding. This is a quality standard approved by Ibanez and the artist himself. Thank you for your understanding.
