Description

The 4th Samurai signature model!

This Headway x Osamurai jointly developed model is based on the specifications of the Headway Customshop Series Sakura guitar, made by the late Yasuo Momose and beloved by solo guitarist Osamurai, but with adjustments made in various areas to bring it within an affordable price range!

Like the original guitar, it features a small body shape, with domestic cherry wood for the back and sides and ebony fingerboard with a striking striped grain. The body is purposely void of a pickguard and kept simple to maximize resonance.

Meanwhile, the head and fingerboard are gorgeously decorated with mother-of-pearl and abalone. The mother-of-pearl depicts a cherry blossom in full bloom on the headstock, with petals "spilling" down onto the fingerboard, which is likened to the trunk of the cherry blossom, expressing the cherry blossom scene that Osamurai imagines.

As the name "Falling Cherry Blossoms" suggests, the sides and back of the acoustic guitar are made of laminated domestic cherry wood. The wood is intentionally left uncolored, allowing you to directly enjoy the charm of the warm, pale pink wood grain, which is unique to each individual cherry wood.

[Small, easy-to-handle body size]
The compact body, with a maximum width of approximately 382 mm and a maximum thickness of approximately 105 mm, makes it easy to hold and fits even smaller players.
Like the HJ-OSAMURAISAN II, this guitar features a medium scale length with a 628mm nut-to-saddle distance. Compared to long scale guitars, this model offers lower string tension and is relatively easy to press down. This model encourages the challenge of a wide range of musical expression, including fingerpicking solo guitar, which is Osamurai's specialty.

To make the strings easier to press, the standard model uses Extra Light gauge phosphor bronze strings, which are the thinnest and have the lowest tension.
It's said that the biggest hurdle for beginner guitarists is the difficulty of playing complex chords. Osamurai wants all players to experience the joy of playing by firmly pressing the strings and the sense of accomplishment that comes with improving their skills. This is why Osamurai models, including this one, are designed with this gauge in mind. Furthermore, the nut grooves are machined to a width that matches this gauge.
