The VOX Starstream Bass is exceptionally easy to play, thanks to its unique frame structure, lightweight design, and exquisite body balance. Building on this innovative technology, a headless bass has been born, featuring the newly developed bridge mechanism, the VOX Headless System.
Headless bass guitars have always been a niche product for truly dedicated bass players.
Many manufacturers have shied away from developing headless bass guitars due to the many complex issues surrounding tuning stability. VOX has spent years developing an entirely new solution to this problem, making this new VOX headless bass one of the most exciting new products in the long history of bass guitars.
■Innovative headless bass mechanism
The VOX Starstream Bass Artist HL is built for unparalleled comfort and precision. The lightweight VSS frame features a resin construction, combined with an alder body for perfect body balance and comfortable playability.
At the heart of this innovation is the VOX Headless System, a newly designed, cutting-edge bridge mechanism that optimizes tuning stability and simplifies adjustment.
Newly developed bridge mechanism
The Headless Starstream features a bridge with a unique mechanism that allows for precise tuning with almost no effort, thanks to the angled tuning knob. This overcomes the drawbacks of conventional headless bridges. Developed exclusively by VOX and installed exclusively on the Headless Starstream, this headless bridge features an easy-to-turn angled tuning knob and a mechanism that varies the amount of winding with each winding, enabling highly precise tuning.
■Deep bolt-on joint
The neck joint structure maintains playability in the upper positions and uses a deep bolt-on joint that transmits string vibrations between the body and neck without loss, allowing for technical playing that utilizes the entire neck even in the end positions.
Equipped with Aguilar pickup and preamp
Equipped with Aguilar pickups and preamps, the Starstream Bass delivers rich, powerful tone with exceptional clarity and depth. Whether you're laying down a smooth groove or cutting through the mix with punchy riffs, the Aguilar pickup and preamp combination ensures consistent, high-quality sound.
