Description

Selected product at the Divider Business Fair 2025

A special cherry blossom guitar commemorating the 20,000th production. The Momose brand, launched in 2002, is a reflection of master builder Yasuo Momose's passion and philosophy for guitar making. To commemorate the 20,000th production, a special "cherry blossom guitar" has been created, bringing together the combined efforts of Divider and the Asuka Factory. Over the course of more than a decade, the manufacturing process has grown alongside the brand, establishing new techniques and methods for transforming cherry wood into beautiful guitars. These techniques are used throughout this model, and the word "Maestro" (meaning "master" or "expert") has been adopted as the model name, in recognition of Momose's pioneering career in cherry blossom guitar making.

Cherry blossom x Japanese horse chestnut - a feast of Japanese materials The body top is made of beautifully flamed cherry wood, while the back is made of horse chestnut, which, along with cherry, is one of the most popular Japanese woods. By selecting horse chestnut wood with a clearly visible flame grain and using it as a single piece, we have achieved a stunning visual with no seams from the body side to the back. Another notable feature is the vivid gradation that evokes the image of cherry blossom petals.
In the center of the design is a white snake shaped like the number "20,000," which not only displays the serial number of the unit, "No. 19999," but also signifies that this unit is part of a project to commemorate the 20,000th Momose product.
This instrument, serial number 19999, is based on the traditional MT model. It features a semi-hollow body for lighter weight, taking into consideration overall weight balance and performance as an instrument. Listen to the sound produced by this combination of Japanese materials.

The cherry blossoms blooming on the body are created using a special painting method known as "holographic," which creates cherry blossom petals that appear depending on the angle you look at them from. The design was created specifically for this guitar by a Divider designer who has been involved in the production of numerous cherry blossom guitars.

◆ Design with a "white snake" motif
The snake, the zodiac sign for 2025, is used as a motif, and the design of a white snake perched on a cherry blossom branch is expressed in inlay. Crafted using various types of natural shells and wood, the design is as beautiful as a painting. Please enjoy the inlay work, which shows the culmination of the skills cultivated over many years of crafting cherry blossom guitars.

Jacaranda neck and pickguard: The neck and fingerboard are crafted from Jacaranda (Brazilian rosewood). Its unique beauty is synonymous with rarity and it is one of the most difficult woods to obtain today. The pickguard is also crafted from Jacaranda and is decorated with the Momose logo crafted from abalone.

*This product uses a wooden pickguard. Although we have made it stronger, due to the nature of the material, handling it in the same way as conventional metal or resin pickguards can lead to scratches or cracks. Please exercise due care in advance. In the unlikely event that it is damaged, it will not be covered by the warranty and will require a fee to be paid.
