2023 (29th) Japan Wind Ensemble Contest National Tournament [First Half]
The Japan Wind Ensemble Contest National Finals will be held over six days at Bunkyo Civic Hall and Shobi Vario Hall in Tokyo. Of the seven divisions, in the next issue we will introduce the Junior High School Division B on Saturday, October 28th and the High School Division B on Sunday, October 29th!

BJ Commissioned Work "Butterfly Junction" (Suzuki Hidefumi) [Full Score]
Hidefumi Suzuki has written a new piece for Band Journal. It is a seven-minute opera drama based on Madama Butterfly, a work by Puccini whose death will be 100 years old in 2024, and whose premiere marks 120 years since its premiere. The piece can also be performed by a small band. The sheet music for the parts is included in the February issue. Please give it a try!
