Since its launch in 1987, Ibanez has continued to produce SR (Soundgear) basses that are always in tune with the times by incorporating the voices of numerous bassists and trends in music and fashion.

SR's identity, which has remained unchanged since its inception, is that of an electric bass with a compact body that fits the body, a slim neck, and a wide range of sounds.

While maintaining the precision, high performance, and excellent playability that we have always pursued, we are renewing the SR model of our high-end, Made in Japan Prestige series as a bass guitar for professionals that has been completely reexamined in terms of sound, tone, and their versatility.

The alder wood 3D arched SR body is a material choice that features flat acoustic characteristics and a natural, straightforward tone. Finished in a glossy solid black color.

Tone control that works both with EQ on and in bypass mode

■Sonitech active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switching switch
In addition to a three-band equalizer that produces a wide-range, low-noise active sound, the AK4100 is also equipped with a tone control (pulling up the tone knob: EQ bypass).
Tone control is possible not only when the EQ is on, but also when the EQ is bypassed.
The mini-switch allows you to select from three different midrange frequency bands, which are essential for creating a rich bass sound.The dip switch on the back panel allows you to change the band to a high-mid or low-mid oriented pattern.

■Prestige Fret Edge Treatment: The SR Prestige features nickel silver frets that are harder than those used on the previous model. The fret edges have been smoothed for a superior playing feel.
