Description
The history of the Tone Bender is already difficult to understand, but the Vox V828 Tone Bender, made in Jen, Italy, makes it even more complicated, and it is an instrument that has also been well-received for its sound.
This time, we have a 1969 style guitar with a black case and silver panel. There are small scratches and signs of use on the case and front panel, and engravings on the back panel, giving it the feel of a vintage instrument, but it is in good condition.
The germanium transistors used are a combination of SFT337 and SFT363. The appeal is the treble-heavy, thick, roaring fuzz sound when turned up all the way. Although it's produced in greater numbers than the British SolaSound, it's becoming harder to find.
