Description

Brand new special price item!! Two John Gomm signature models now in stock in Japan!!
Exclusively available from Ikebe Musical Instrument Store Acoustic Station and Hartman Guitars!

Jon Gomm is an acoustic singer/songwriter based in Yorkshire, UK. His playing style is truly innovative, combining drum sounds, bass lines, and twisted melodies all on a single acoustic guitar. His songs, which place emphasis on soulful vocals and songwriting, are influenced by a wide range of musical styles, from Robert Johnson to Radiohead.
Jon creates a unique and moving live atmosphere with his natural, unpretentious performance. His unique two-handed playing style, which is particularly unforgettable once you see it, produces a sound that is hard to believe is being produced with just one guitar.

- Solid African mahogany body The body is made of African mahogany, which is known for its full, warm tone and rich mid- and low-range characteristics.

- Mobius ring rosette & PASSIONFLOWER fingerboard inlay
The fingerboard inlay, inspired by the song that made Jon famous, "Passion Flower," and the rosette design, which resembles a Möbius strip, are exclusive to the JGM11.

- Keith Banjo Stainless Steel D-Tuners 1/2
The most distinctive feature of Jon's playing, the use of tuning pegs to change pitch up and down, is achieved through these banjo tuners, a feature also being used for the first time on the JGM11.

JGM's original asymmetrical body shape is ideal for tapping. When the guitar is held upright, the right side of the body is slightly smaller than the left side, making it easier to reach the treble side and tapping. The large, gentle cutaway is not designed to make it easier to reach the high frets, but rather to provide a large striking surface for percussive performances.

- Designed with emphasis on low-end sound
The body is larger than any other Ibanez model, placing emphasis on low-frequency response and making it easier to achieve. The bracing also uses a modified XM bracing pattern made with thermo-aged materials. Compared to Ibanez's original XM bracing pattern, the lower tone bar allows the top to move more freely, resulting in attenuated midrange frequencies and, conversely, enhanced low frequencies.

- Dedicated electronics for fingerstyle playing and a wide range of tones
This is a sound system developed in collaboration with Fishman specifically for JGM (triple microphone specifications ①②③).
A Fishman(R) Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole pickup is mounted in the sound hole area.
Rare Earth is a classic pickup system that combines ① a neodymium magnet humbucking pickup and ② a condenser microphone (unidirectional), and is highly recommended by many fingerpicking players.
In addition, a Fishman TAP pickup (3) is installed under the bridge, focusing only on the tap sound. The blend amount can be adjusted with the control wheel mounted on the bass string side of the sound hole. The output is also dual output.
