~Recommended by Hartman Guitars staff!!~

"What pedal effects do you recommend for acoustic guitar?"
This is a question we get asked often in store... There's not much information out there about pedal effects that are suitable for acoustic instruments...
At Hartman Guitars, our staff are experts in the line sound of acoustic instruments and will solve your problems right away!

The Empress Effects Bass Compressor is a high-quality compact compressor pedal that provides a rich compression feel while maintaining a natural, acoustic sound.
The concept is to create a pedal with sound quality at the same level as the professional rack equipment used in recording studios. It features a natural compression feel that you wouldn't expect from a compact pedal, and is able to add musical nuances without destroying the pure sound of the acoustic guitar.
Although this is marketed as a compressor for bass, its low-frequency-focused range allows you to obtain a sound range that matches the rich resonance of an acoustic guitar.
It is equipped with a sidechain high-pass filter mode, so you can adjust the amount of compression applied to the palm, even when playing percussive solo guitar such as slam playing, to produce powerful low frequencies.

A recording studio-quality compressor at your feet. A bass-tuned version with added features!

The previous model, Compressor, was released in 2011 to overwhelming acclaim.
The Compressor takes a step beyond many overly simple compressor pedals, featuring controls equivalent to studio-grade equipment and allowing you to create professional sounds. It outputs the best sound not only for guitars but also for basses, but the Empress aims to go even further.
Introducing the Bass Compressor, tuned for bass guitar.

Like the previous model, the controls typically found only on high-end studio equipment allow for precise adjustments, helping you create a professional sound.
Additionally, a fully controllable sidechain high-pass filter and two-position Tone + Colour switch add rich character.

With conventional pedal compressors, the trade-off between dynamic control and sound quality is that the sound often lacks vitality.
The Bass Compressor perfectly controls musical expression and delicate touches, beautifully shaping your sound. It's sure to become an essential piece of equipment for any bassist.
