Description
Description
The K22ce from the Koa series features a rare Hawaiian Koa body. This model features a small, easy-to-handle Grand Concert cutaway body shape, offering easy playability from a short scale length and a vibrant, easy-to-play sound.
As this is a special edition Japan-only model, the decoration on each part is different from the regular K22ce, and it features a body with natural paint and a slotted head.
As for the condition of this instrument, there are some signs of use such as minor scratches that can be seen if you look closely, but as it has been stored in a very good humidity-controlled environment, it is in excellent condition, almost comparable to new.
Although it has a high-tension slotted head, there is absolutely no twisting of the neck or deformation of the top, and the string height is within the manufacturer's standard value.
In terms of tone, the tone is characterized by the sweet midrange, warm overtones, and strong core that are unique to core wood.
The body resonates particularly well when picking the 5th and 6th strings, and the volume is incredibly rich. Each note has a thick, rounded tone, giving you the feeling of fulfillment as if you were playing with the front pickup of a Les Paul.
The slightly short scale length of 631.8mm produces a pleasant overtone feel, while the high tension inherent to the slotted head produces a contradictory sound that maintains a rich volume.
Taylor has been introducing the V-Class since 2018, but this model is equipped with its predecessor, X-bracing.
The V-Class used in the current model is said to have a sound with better sustain and volume than the standard X-bracing, but this instrument, built to a traditional style, gives off a powerful, centered impression. While the current model has the edge in terms of sustain, the crisp feel of the X-bracing gives it the expressive power to vividly reflect the beat flowing through the player's mind.
In addition, contrary to the tendencies of the wood, Taylor's bolt-on joints give it a refreshing, bright overtone that completely eliminates the clumsy impression that is a weakness of core wood.
The Grand Concert size is a Taylor model that is easy to use for people of all ages and genders, and is a versatile model that not only offers high playability but also good response and crispness.
Whether you want to pluck tense chords that take advantage of the mellow tone of the core wood, or play in a stroke style that takes advantage of Taylor's signature crisp attack, this is a wonderful instrument that will let you do whatever you want.
The pickup system is equipped with the ES2 system, which is renowned for its high sound quality, and the pickup installed behind the saddle in the bridge section outputs a clearer, more defined sound.
What's interesting is that the pickup sounds are significantly different for each model. These pickups deliver a line sound that maximizes the characteristics of the wood and body size used, making them unparalleled high-performance gear.
It's rare to find a guitar that not only looks spectacular, but also provides such satisfying sound to the player.
The K22ce is an extremely rare limited edition, so if you miss this opportunity, you will probably never have another chance to come across a similar model.
This is a piece in excellent condition. Please consider purchasing it as soon as possible.
