2023 Martin Factory Tour
-Custom Shop Factory Wood Selection Custom Model-
The Martin Custom Shop is the pinnacle of modern Martin, where all products are handmade by around 20 skilled craftsmen, only the most skilled of whom are allowed to work in the vast factory.
This is a carefully crafted masterpiece, created by Ikebe Musical Instruments' acoustic staff who visited the Martin factory and selected the finest wood materials that are only used in custom shops.

This is a very rare custom item known only to those in the know, customized in SIZE 2, which is even smaller than the 0 (Single O), the smallest model among Martin's regular models.
The SIZE 2 guitar has been in production since the mid-1800s, predating the familiar dreadnought. Its unique shape and size create a refined, beautiful look and sound that's unique to this model.

An all-core model made with the finest figured Hawaiian koa.
During the wood selection for this tour, I had a hard time finding a koa wood that really caught my eye...
Danny Brown, a veteran staff member at the custom shop who has worked with us on numerous occasions to select Ikebe's custom models, suggested, "Well, I have no choice... why don't you use something from my treasured collection?" This is a top-of-the-line all-core model made from the finest materials.
The opportunity to select a core with such densely packed flame grain is virtually nonexistent, and it is a miracle that one can even encounter one in one's lifetime.
This stunning piece, a work of art created by nature, is captivating just by looking at it, but the sound it produces is also exceptional. Finished with Hide Glue Complete, it fully brings out the dignified bell sound of the core wood.
Despite its relatively small size, it is full and voluminous, with an endlessly beautiful sustain. The sound is by no means flashy, but you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the presence of an indescribably ephemeral sound.

The beautiful 45-style finish, featuring an alternate torch on the headtop, a snowflake on the fingerboard, and an abalone rosette, further enhances the special flamecore appeal. Perfect for strumming at the end of the day by your bedside... this is the ultimate bedside guitar.

This guitar is not cheap, but it offers a unique sound that can only be achieved with the SIZE 2 and all-core body.
We confidently recommend this as a top-notch instrument that connoisseurs should definitely try.
