Custom made for the Golden Gills of 00-42
Martin has a long history of blending tradition with innovation, and to this day it has become a long-established name in the acoustic guitar world, captivating audiences around the world with its sound. The Custom Shop is the pinnacle of Martin's production line.
A wide variety of models are produced, from gorgeous show models to models that pursue a vintage feel to the utmost, and modern models made from the finest wood.
This instrument was crafted by dedicated staff at the Martin Factory, who worked with the custom shop staff on-site to carefully select the finest materials.
The body features Adirondack spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the sides and back. The Adirondack spruce boasts excellent overtones and separation, with a fine grain that makes it instantly recognizable as a high-quality wood. The Indian rosewood, selected in collaboration with the custom shop staff, is also crafted from the finest wood, boasting a deep, straight grain. This guitar was ordered in the sophisticated 00-42 style, featuring a 12-fret joint for a well-balanced sound. The premium woods offer excellent response, delivering powerful bass notes despite its size. Experience a clear, brilliant sound with every finger and stroke.
The neck is made of genuine mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. The mahogany has been given the name "genuine," meaning genuine, based on Martin's own selection criteria, and is of course the highest quality wood stored in the custom shop.
The decoration is in the style of the 41, with snowflake inlays on the fingerboard and torch inlay purfling on the headstock, and the understated yet eye-catching decoration creates a 12-fret 00-style atmosphere.
Each note you hear envelops you in sound, like a beautiful scene unfolding before your eyes.
This is a guitar that will give you the joy of owning and playing, and truly captures the essence of a custom shop.
