"The snare drum that suits your style." Every drummer embarks on a long journey in search of that one. The SLP Sound Lab Project was created to serve as a guidepost for such drummers. Not only does it offer a wide selection of shell materials, but it also features shell thickness measured down to the millimeter. And to maximize their potential, it incorporates newly developed hoops and tubular lugs in addition to existing parts. This combination creates a wide variety of sounds, making it a snare series suitable for all genres.


The brass shell, known for its bright, sweet tone, is molded at a slightly thicker 1.5mm. Furthermore, a steel plate is attached to the inside of the shell to increase its strength, resulting in a powerful sound with a full core. The 2.3mm flange hoop produces an open, expansive sound, while the 42-strand carbon steel snare produces a distinctive buzz.


This strainer features a lever that turns on and off horizontally, preventing the snare tension from loosening while playing and preventing the switch from being accidentally turned off.
In addition, both the strainer and the butt feature a sliding cover that secures the snappy cord/tape, an innovative system that eliminates the need to thread the cord/tape between the main body and the cover.
