Description

The classic Ibanez electric acoustic guitar "AE" series has been renewed!

The new AE features a 43mm nut width, making it comfortable to switch from an electric guitar, and a body that's approximately 5mm thinner than the previous model, making it easier to hold. The side panels feature an air port that delivers sound directly to the player, allowing you to play with the best tone, whether on stage or in practice.

The pickup system uses Ibanez's original, simple and easy-to-use "AEQ-TP2" preamp, making it suitable for both live performances and recording!

The solid spruce top and okoume back and sides produce a clear, natural sound.

Recommended for those looking for an easy-to-play, reasonably priced electric acoustic guitar!

There are many examples of openings in the body sides to enhance acoustics, but this AIR (Acoustic Information Response) port is not just a simple hole.
As shown in the diagram, the design is based on the idea that two resonating sections installed inside the body refract and reflect the resonant waves, allowing them to resonate efficiently out of the port.
The AIRport is designed to be directly under the player holding the guitar, allowing them to feel their own acoustic sound more strongly.

XM Bracing
When revamping the AE series, we conducted extensive testing using several existing bracing systems as examples, and ultimately arrived at the newly adopted XM bracing system.
This bracing, called XM because the area of the tone bar connecting from the X looks like an M, delivers a sound characterized by clear low frequencies and crisp high frequencies that won't get lost in a band ensemble.
Of course, it's not designed to produce a sound that's excessively biased toward the bottom end, but rather aims to be the best possible stage guitar, with an emphasis on ease of sound creation on stage. Based on a balanced tone, it's designed with the goal of increasing the bass range compared to previous AE series guitars.
