Description
Description
Based on the success of the MDD (Machine Direct Drive Pedal), we have completed the chain drive: MCD (Machined Chain Drive Pedal), sharing many of the MDD's patented features, industrial design, construction and quality.
The most striking difference between the MDD and MCD is the adjustable, sprocket-less cam that incorporates a gearshift-style lever, allowing players to easily find the chain drive cam setting that best suits them.
"When we introduced the MDD pedal, we knew it was the logical step to our next pedal: a chain-driven MCD. Most of our dw artists loved the 9000 series pedals and were crazy about the form and function of the MDD. We also found that many drummers don't like the direct drive feel. So it was a really interesting and challenging project for our R&D team to create a pedal that followed the form and function of the MDD but with a double chain drive." -Rich Sikra, Director of Hardware R&D
Other features include a race-car style all-aluminum perforated footboard, a smoothly processed heel plate, a Tri-Pivot Swivel Toe-Clamp, VERT (Vertical Spring Adjustment), a 101 Control Beater, and many other dw's latest technologies. It also comes with a special dw MFG carrying case.
