Description
Description
Momose is renowned for its high level of perfection. The ORIGINAL series inherits the basic structure of vintage guitars while incorporating more modern updates throughout. This lineup embodies Momose's manufacturing philosophy of "bringing out the natural resonance of the wood by processing it in accordance with its individual characteristics."
This highly popular model is packed with Momose-exclusive features, including a heel cut with a recessed joint plate, wood binding, and an original headstock. This is the "MC2-STD/M" model, featuring an ash body and maple fingerboard. This is the power of "Made in Japan"!
[Momose MC Model]
This guitar inherits the basic structure of the vintage ST, pursuing traditional resonance and tone. It also further advances customization with an emphasis on modern playability, and is based on Momose's core philosophy of "processing each material according to its individual differences, such as mass, elasticity, and resonance." It pursues the possibilities of vintage style through completely handcrafted construction. This guitar has been perfected, elevating its overall quality to a unique, original style.
The body shape features a slightly wider cutaway for smooth shifting to higher positions and improved playability. The head shape is striking yet retains a classic feel. The adjustment section retains its design for instantaneous setup, but its shape has been revised for even more stress-free adjustment. The semi-matte, ultra-thin top lacquer creates a smooth playing feel, and the neck shape, finished with meticulous sanding, further refines the grip feel.
The 210R fingerboard eliminates choking when playing in high positions or when choking, and the medium-sized, slightly higher Jim Dunlop USA #6105 frets make it easy to finger with accurate pitch. The specifications remain the same, but the sides of the fingerboard are covered with wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard, covering the fret tangs, providing an even smoother neck grip and preventing burrs that can occur when used in harsh conditions.
The neck joint also retains the traditional method of using a joint plate, but also employs a unique heel cut and recessed cut for improved playability. The joint plate is made of high-density material for improved sound quality.
Other features include GOTOH's Magnum Lock tuners, which enable precise pitch maintenance, and a custom-made bridge with a 10.8mm string pitch, further highlighting the commitment to quality. The assembly is also made entirely of the highest quality parts from the USA, and meticulous shielding with conductive paint is used to prevent noise. The guitar also comes standard with the YUTA VS-1 pickup, which has earned rave reviews from many players for its ability to faithfully bring out the natural tone of the wood.
