The Martin Custom Shop is the pinnacle of modern Martin, where all products are handmade by around 20 skilled craftsmen, only the most skilled of whom are allowed to work in the vast factory.
The "Factory Promotion Order" is a special offer available exclusively to participating Martin Factory Tour dealers: a custom shop model with special pricing and specifications. This specially calculated price and a set of pre-defined specs allows you to choose your preferred model and build it at a much better price than individual custom orders, making it a highly popular offer you won't want to miss.
This is the OM-28 style, made using the rare material cocobolo.
The top is made of Italian Alpine spruce, and the back and sides are made of luxurious premium-grade cocobolo. Both materials were hand-selected by our dedicated staff during the 2023 Martin Factory Tour.
As you'd expect from an OM-28, it has a powerful, thick mid-range fundamental, and even with a strong input touch it outputs without any distortion.The instrument also responds smoothly to even a light touch, making it a very expressive guitar that will further enrich the player's expressiveness.
The combination of a European top and cocobolo sides and back often results in a hard, wild-horse sound, but by selecting a soft and delicate top material, we have created an exquisite instrument that is rich in rich, enveloping overtones.
Although it is a 28 style, the selection of ebony for the binding gives it a modern and luxurious look.
The fingerboard is made of black ebony and the neck is of course made of pure mahogany, making this a special guitar crafted to the exacting specifications you'd expect from a custom shop!
