[A very rare, early limited edition model! A used Akira Jimbo signature snare drum is now in stock!]

-MSD13AJ Akira Jimbo Signature Limited Edition-
This is an early model maple shell model that was sold as a limited edition at the time. The hoop has been replaced from the original power hoop with a Yamaha wood hoop.
After this model was released, it became a regular model as [WSD13AJ] and had a wood hoop and beech shell.
Its unique size and maple-like brightness give it a natural, tight sound when combined with the wood hoop.
The original short-type snare provides a clearer touch and fully delivers the crispy snare sound that Akira Jinbo was looking for at the time.
Other original features that set it apart from the regular model include gold-type lugs and a tension-adjustable strainer butt.

My snare drum is a small one, measuring 13x7. It's smaller and deeper than usual. The smaller size gives me more control and stability, while the depth gives it more power and bass. I chose a wood shell with a wood hoop for maximum resonance and a very natural sound.
I always tune this snare very high pitched and don't use any muffling.
I really like the rich nuances that come out of this, and if you like a crispy sounding snare drum, you'll love my snare drum.

[Vintage Hoop]
The Vintage Wood Hoop is made of 19-ply all-maple wood and features a special urethane finish for exceptional durability.
This maximizes the overall drum response without compromising the natural sound of the snare drum, and also makes for a powerful rim shot.
