Description

This gorgeous Stanley Clarke Signature Deluxe guitar features a buckeye top and back. It also features a resin top.

This is the Stanley Clarke signature model, a classic short-scale bass that is synonymous with Alembic. The origins of this order actually began a few years ago, when I came across a guitar with a buckeye resin top on social media. I was captivated by its beauty and offered it for a bass. This time, ALEMBIC once again provided me with a list of over a dozen exquisite top materials. I carefully selected from that list and commissioned the creation of this guitar.

While brown-based walnut tops, inside-out maple tops, and the signature cocobolo top are all great, the exotic wood of the buckeye burl top is truly awe-inspiring, surpassing them all. In addition, the resin top on this guitar enhances its artistic quality and gives it a unique, special feel. I think the finish is so wonderful that it's almost overwhelming.

This instrument features a beautiful back eye burl in the back, and even the top and control panel are meticulously crafted. You'll be able to fully appreciate the unique charm of the Alembic from every angle. The core is made of mahogany and the accent wood is purpleheart, a wood layout familiar to Signature Deluxe models. Another attractive feature is its light weight of approximately 4.2 kg. Despite its light weight, short scale length, and narrow neck, it delivers rich bass and a distinctive tone with a dense output.

The sound is exactly what you'd expect. The signature circuit's distinctive, plump boost and the well-placed Q switch deliver a rich tone, from soft and deep to crisp and crisp. The punch, attack, and sustain are all accompanied by a comfortable, well-balanced low end, creating a sound that will have you slapping away. Of course, you'll also enjoy the sensitive, playable nuances of fingerpicking. The high-resolution sound of the series circuit is, of course, excellent, but the signature circuit chosen for this instrument also delivers a refined sound.

It took three years from the time of order to complete this instrument. This is the first alembic bass to arrive in our store since 2019, and it truly exudes a captivating aura of excellence, both in looks and sound, that is unique to this brand. Be sure to take note of this top-of-the-line bass.
