What is MB (Marcus Bonna)?
Marcus Bonna, founder of MB (Marcus Bonna), was a horn player with the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra from 1982 to 2002.
Bona was fed up with the weight of her horn case, which was always a hassle when traveling during her daily performances. With this in mind, she wanted to create a way to transport the horn more easily and safely, and to free more people from unnecessary worries about playing the horn, an instrument she loves, so in 1991 she came up with her first original horn case, which was light, compact, and had an innovative design.
The fiberglass cases designed by Bona were well received by orchestra members, far exceeding his expectations, and quickly spread throughout the orchestra. This was the beginning of the MB Case.
When the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra performed in São Paulo in 1991, the horn players showed great interest in Mr. Bona's case.
This led to orders not only from within Brazil but also from overseas, and in order to spread these cases to horn players around the world, Mr. Bona founded MB, a company named after himself.
Today, MB not only manufactures horn cases, but also a variety of other cases for trumpets, trombones, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, etc. Each and every one of these handcrafted wind instrument cases is loved by musicians around the world, and MB has established itself as a leading brand of wind instrument cases.
The MB case is characterized by its light weight, robustness, and compactness.
All cases are carefully handcrafted, boasting beautiful finishes and stylish designs. A wide range of colors are available, allowing you to create your own unique case by combining different colors.
All products come with backpack or shoulder straps for easy portability (the type and number of straps included vary depending on the model), as well as cushions to protect the instrument, thoroughly eliminating any stress that may be placed on the player.
