Description
Description
This pedal splits the signal into high and low sections and applies a compressor to each. The compressor is professional-grade, with sound quality and control comparable to studio equipment.
It also has a loop for each frequency band, allowing you to use it in a variety of ways, depending on your imagination. For example, you can apply drive or filtering only to the highs while preserving the bass power that is often lost with pedals, or you can reduce excessive bass bloat to clarify the pitch and sound quality.
You can freely mix the dry and wet sounds and balance each frequency band.
■LOW / HI MIX
Adjusts the volume balance between high and low frequencies. Functions tonally.
■X/O FREQUENCY (Crossover)
Determines at what frequency the input signal is split and sent to high and low.
■PARALLEL
Adjusts the mix between the original (dry) and compressed signal.
■(LO & HI) SEND/RETURN jacks are equipped on both the high and low jacks, allowing them to be used for two purposes.
One way to use it is as an effects loop. You can apply a drive or phaser to the high-end loop while preserving the low-end sound quality, or apply an octaver to the low-end loop, and so on.
The second function is to use it as a crossover, sending separate high and low signals to an external amplifier, etc.
