Eight legendary 1073 remote-controlled preamps feature Marineair transformers, USB, and Dante digital connectivity, bringing Classic NEVE preamp sound into the future.
When the 1073 was introduced in 1970, it quickly became the microphone preamp of choice for leading producers and engineers, and has since become one of the world's most desirable preamps. To this day, designed and manufactured in England by AMS Neve, its unique tone, warmth, low-mid punch, and subtle harmonic distortion make it the most prestigious front end for recording in studios of all sizes.
The 1073OPX continues the 1073 lineage, featuring eight legendary preamps in a 2U rack unit. Front and rear connectors provide comprehensive connectivity to any studio, live, or broadcast environment, while the latest remote control software provides bidirectional control of all settings with save/load functionality and Total Recall. Microphone input sources benefit from a Marineair transformer-coupled input stage, allowing sources to be connected directly to the front-mounted mic/line/DI inputs for recording in the studio control room.
The 1073OPX USB/ADAT card can be used as a complete standalone I/O interface, or as a digital expansion card for an existing ADAT-enabled audio interface with an ADAT optical connection. This optional USB/ADAT card provides seamless integration with digital audio workstations, recording and playback of high-quality digital audio at sample rates up to 192 kHz in USB/ADAT hub mode, or up to 96 kHz in ADAT standalone mode when connected to an ADAT-equipped audio interface via the S/MUX protocol.
