Description

An electric acoustic model with an aged finish from the JT series!

The wood undergoes a special heat treatment that volatilizes excess moisture and oils, resulting in a rich, natural resonance and a vintage-like tone that seems to develop over time. This heat treatment not only improves the sound, but also changes the appearance to a color that gives it a well-worn, rustic feel.

An acoustic guitar produces sound only when the body top vibrates. The character of the wood used for the body sides and back is then added to this, and the amplified sound is output from the sound hole. No matter how good the wood used for the body sides and back is, the quality of the sound will be reduced if the body top is not of high quality. For this reason, this model features an aged spruce body top, which is the foundation of an acoustic guitar's sound, resulting in a rich, vintage-like sound.

This heat treatment not only improves the sound, but also changes the appearance to a color that gives it a drab, well-used appearance.

An acoustic guitar produces sound only when the top plate of the body vibrates. The character of the wood used for the body sides and back is then added to this, and the amplified sound is output from the sound hole. No matter how good the wood used for the body sides and back is, the quality of the sound will be reduced if the body top material is not of good quality.
For this reason, this model features an aged spruce body top, which forms the foundation of the acoustic guitar sound, resulting in a rich, vintage-like sound.

■ Another feature of the all-solid wood "HD-V115ASE/AGED" is that it is made entirely of solid wood.
The body top is made of solid spruce, and the back and sides are made of solid African mahogany. Because it's all solid wood, the wood vibrates more freely than a plywood guitar, allowing you to enjoy a more authentic acoustic sound.

■ Equipped with a pickup
Equipped with Fishman's "Sonitone" pickup, it can be used as both an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar, making it suitable for a wide range of situations.

■ The tuning pegs are GROVER open gear type, which improves tuning stability.

About Headway Japan Tune-up Series
What is the JT Series? It's said that professional guitarists don't just buy their guitars and use them as they are. Instead, they first take them to a trusted repairman for adjustments to their preferred settings before taking the stage. Experienced guitarists even file the nuts themselves and adjust the settings until they find the feel they desire. They know that a precise setting that suits the player directly affects their playing. With the Headway Japan Tune-up series, we've focused on every detail to maximize the guitar's potential. We deliver guitars of undeniable quality that can only be achieved by carefully performing each and every humble task.

Key Features
The JT series uses the same high-precision "dovetail joint" and "rear-mounted neck" techniques as Headway's higher-end models. It also comes standard with a strap pin in the heel and is equipped with a FISHMAN preamp.

The neck and body joint is an important part of guitar construction. Headway has used "dovetail joint processing" and "post-joining of the neck" on its higher-end models, and has now finally achieved this in the JT series. For more information on dovetail processing and post-joining, please see this page.

Nut & Saddle Processing: Low chords are frequently used in acoustic guitar playing. The corners of the nut have been smoothed to allow for smooth chord changes. The corners of the saddle have also been smoothed to improve the feel when your right hand touches the saddle when muting the bridge.

String height adjustment for easy playing. String height plays a major role in how easy a guitar is to play. Each JT series guitar is carefully adjusted to the optimum string height for easy playing.

Fret Edge Rounding By carefully rounding the edges of each fret using different grits of sandpaper and steel wool, the left hand can move more smoothly, even on the higher frets.

Fingerboard Treatment: The fingerboard is an important part that affects the quality and attack of the sound. After polishing with steel wool, it is thoroughly protected with lemon oil.

Elixir strings (factory default)
We chose Elixir Phosphor Bronze Light Gauge strings as the factory strings, as they are popular with many players.
