★An ultra-compact condenser microphone ideal for recording live instruments.
The Samar Audio Design MG33 is a compact unidirectional condenser microphone with a total length of 85mm. The MG32 and MG33 use the same capsule, with the MG32 being an end-address type and the MG33 being a side-address type.
The professional design, based on years of research by Dr. Mark Hoeksman, achieves both a palm-sized size and the sound quality required for the highest quality recordings.
As a professional pianist, Dr. Hoeksman has a particular passion for capturing acoustic instruments, and the MG33 offers a smooth balance and excellent low and high frequency extension, making it ideal for recording acoustic instruments.
The MG32/33 is the ideal solution for demanding professional engineers, studios, and artists to create expressive recordings. Its extremely compact size and dual pickup axes make it ideal for spot microphone applications such as orchestral recording, or for discreet microphone placement in video recording.
Each microphone is carefully handmade at Samar Audio Design's workshop in Salt Lake City, USA.
■SAMAR AUDIO's unique "acoustic circuit structure"
The MG33 microphone has a transformerless structure and achieves extremely low noise characteristics.
As with all SAMAR AUDIO microphones, special attention was paid to the body shape and its acoustic characteristics.
The microphone capsule is the same as that used in the higher-end MG20 model, and the acoustic lens, optimized through Dr. Fuchsman's original research, eliminates all sound wave interference, including off-axis.
In addition, to ensure the microphone's durability as a professional and reliable microphone for years of use, only the highest quality electronic components are used in the signal path, including SMD Vishay-Dale resistors and through-hole Wima capacitors.

With its balanced, neutral characteristics, excellent low-frequency response, and no harshness in the high frequencies, it is suitable for a wide range of genres, including pop, jazz, and classical music.
