Description
Description
Sitting somewhere between the original Freeze pedal and the Superego pedal is the Pico Deep Freeze Sound Retainer.
With its ability to freeze a moment's sound, Deep Freeze can function as a sustain pedal to hold a chord or single note as backing for your performance, or as a platform to manipulate new sounds not possible with a regular guitar.
In addition to the capabilities of the original Freeze, the Deep Freeze is a powerful pedal with layering capabilities, adjustable attack/decay speeds, glissando, a dedicated volume control and three modes: Latch/Moment/Auto.
Deep Freeze can instantly freeze sounds in three modes: Latch mode freezes the sound every time you press the footswitch until the effect is bypassed, Moment mode freezes the sound only while you hold down the footswitch, and Auto mode automatically captures the sound whenever it detects a signal above the threshold, freezing it virtually without footswitch operation. With these three modes, Deep Freeze effortlessly adapts to any playing style.
Deep Freeze controls let you further refine the effect. Separate DRY and EFFECT volume controls let you blend signals from subtle backing to 100% wet. GLISS adjusts the speed of the transition between frozen sounds, creating otherworldly sounds. The SPEED/LAYER knob adjusts the effect's attack/decay time in Moment and Auto modes, and the volume of the pre-layered signal in Latch mode.
