[Brooklyn snare drums in vibrant limited edition colors designed by Mike Johnston are now available!]

Developed in collaboration with Mike Johnston, a renowned drum clinician and educator, the Brooklyn Standard was born after nine months of extensive testing and feedback following the creation of a prototype. Every specification was designed to allow the player to tailor the drum to their own sound, dynamics, and playability. The Brooklyn Standard also features unusual features like a double-cut 45-degree bearing edge and tubular lugs, designed to maximize snare sensitivity and resonance.

The combination of a 5.5x14 Brooklyn Formula shell, double 45-degree bearing edge, Butterside tone control (batter side muffler), 42 snare wires, and 302 hoops creates a wide dynamic range and versatile tuning options for any playing style. It's perfect for all genres, including rock, pop, jazz, funk, R&B, electro, and hip-hop, and offers a wide range of open and dry sounds across the entire low to high pitch range.

Silver sealer interior finish, Gretsch tube lugs, Lightning throw-off. The inside label has the year of manufacture and Mike Johnston's signature.
