The EHX Hell Melter is based on the cult-favorite chainsaw distortion pedal and takes distortion to the extreme.
The Hell Melter expands the control and tone capabilities, allowing you to widen the pedal's already punchy sound by switching to more open clipping options, boosting the internal voltage for more headroom, less compression, and more attack.
Designed for the ultimate high-gain tone, this world-famous distortion circuit is known for the death metal sounds of Sweden's Entombed, the shoegaze wash of My Bloody Valentine and can even be found in David Gilmour's gear!
The EHX Hell Melter's control set includes gain, level controls and a powerful active EQ with parametric MIDS control for increased versatility.
The Dry Level control blends the input signal to improve bass end or blend in other distortion tones.
The Boost footswitch provides input gain boost and volume boost, which can be adjusted internally.
The Normal/Burn switch toggles between a classic chainsaw sound and more open clipping options.
