Based on the AZ series, this Tim Henson (Polyphia) signature model features Fishman pickups and an impressive fretboard inlay design that Tim himself named "Tree of Death"!


◆AZ Oval C Roasted Maple neck
The neck is made of heat-treated maple wood. Heat treatment provides advantages such as shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes. The back of the neck has a satin finish, providing a smooth playing feel.
This original neck shape was perfected after measuring and analyzing dozens of guitar neck grips, both from our own company and other manufacturers. It features a comfortable grip with a smooth, rounded edge, shaped to gently curve down from the fingerboard-neck joint to the fingerboard edge. The shape is precisely and reliably reproduced using ball milling.
The neck width is set at 42mm at the nut and 57mm at the 24th fret, with a shape that is particularly designed for ease of gripping in the lower fret area and for classical style playing with the thumb placed on the back of the neck in the higher fret area.

◆Ebony fretboard with Stainless Frets
The fingerboard is made of ebony, which is known for its quick attack and rich sustain.
This guitar features stainless steel frets. These frets offer excellent maintainability, a quick attack, clear separation in chord playing, and a clear tone in single note playing. The jumbo-sized frets allow for easy fingering with a light touch, making it ideal for fast passages and smooth string bending.

◆Tree of Death fingerboard Inlay
The naming and design, which seem to complement the fretboard inlays that are a symbol of Ibanez, are special specifications that symbolize the TOD model, realized through Tim's own ideas.

◆American Basswood body
The body is made of American basswood, which is characterized by its natural and flat tone.

◆Fishman Fluence Tim Henson Signature Series pickups
It features Tim Henson signature pickups that can produce a wide range of sounds, from aggressive lead and backing sounds to clean single-coil tones and even acoustic guitar-like sounds.

◆Fishman Fluence Voicing switch on tone control (push/pull) for Tim Henson Signature Series pickups
It features a Fishman Fluence Voicing switch function that allows you to change the tone of both the neck and bridge pickups in three different ways by pushing or pulling the tone knob.

Neck Pickup
Voice 1: A thick, smooth neck-position humbucker sound.
Voice 2: A clean sound that can replace a nylon-string guitar.
Voice 3: Smooth neck-position single-coil sound

Bridge Pickup
Voice 1: An improved version of Fishman's standard Voice 1, ideal for lead tones.
Voice 2: Tim's preferred humbucker sound in the bridge position.
Voice 3: Tim's ideal single-coil sound, achieved by combining it with the neck position pickup coil.


◆Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge
The Gotoh 510 bridge, widely regarded by many players and brands as the definitive tremolo bridge, has been reborn through a collaboration between Ibanez and Gotoh. It features machined steel saddles and a zinc die-cast inertia block for quick attack and a tight sound, and is also characterized by its excellent note separation in chord work. The string spacing is a narrow 10.5mm design, pursuing the ease of picking across strings that is demanded by players who frequently use skipping and hybrid picking.
Furthermore, it features an arm socket that allows the use of Ibanez Edge tremolo arms and ultra-light tremolo arms (carbon fiber/UTA20/sold separately). The arm can be attached with a snap-in mechanism without the need to twist it in like conventional arms. It also features an arm torque adjustment mechanism that allows the arm angle to be fixed or released according to the player's preference. In addition, it comes standard with a stud lock mechanism that firmly secures the stud with a set screw embedded in the stud, greatly contributing to tuning stability and resonance. It employs a two-point floating support system that allows for smooth arming and arm-up.
