Description
Description
The Mini K67x is the third product in the Mini K series, and is a compact, user-friendly reproduction of the most popular tube microphone from the 1960s, using modern technology.
This is the first Mini K series model to feature a transformer, and it shares the same transformer circuit as the flagship model, the Colares. (The "x" in the model name stands for transformer.) The capsule, which took two years to develop, now uses a new 6-microfilm technology and a uniquely tuned dual backplate design.
This combination has resulted in a microphone that produces a unique harmonic saturation that is different from both the Mini K47, which has a distinctive coloration, and the Mini K87, which has an extremely flat response. It features a voluminous yet clear low end and a recording airiness that extends above 10kHz, which Matt McGlynn of Roswell Pro Audio is proud of as a "Holy Grail voicing."
All of this is achieved through carefully selected parts and design, resulting in low self-noise and excellent transient characteristics.
Like all Roswell microphones, the mini K67x is manufactured and tested in-house at our California headquarters. It also includes an exclusive Roswell Pro Audio Cutaway™ shock mount, a Roswell Pro Audio-branded microfleece microphone cover, and an aluminum flight case.
