DiMarzio Steve Lukather signature pickup!
These Transition pickups are specifically designed for Ernie Ball Music Man LIII guitars. The Transition Neck & Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Lukather's LIII Music Man guitars. The name comes from Steve's new album, "Transition," released January 21, 2013. Naturally, Lukather plays the entire album on an LIII guitar with Transition pickups.
The passive Transition humbucker is a clever and tough pickup, characterized by its power and depth. As Steve says, "These days, a simple, direct sound is what's popular," this organic pickup makes sound-shaping extremely easy. The Transition DP254 Neck pickup delivers a wild, vintage-style humbucker-like sound performance, with edge, punch, and quick response.
Technical Notes: This amp delivers a well-balanced sound with solid lows and brilliant highs. Its well-tuned coil frequency response with a generously open midrange creates a powerful high- and low-frequency response that's perfect for solos and backing tracks.
