Description
Description
OAMP (Output AMPlifier) is a new effect pedal that replaces traditional buffers, line drivers, preamps, etc.
It is intended to be placed at the final stage of a pedal board, conditioning the signal routed within the board.
Add three types of tone shaping and up to 29dB of clean gain.
The robust output circuit (output driver/line driver) prevents degradation of sound quality caused by long cables running from the pedal board to the amplifier.
It also features a send/return that allows you to select another route, and a WHATEVER power supply that provides the best performance with any power source.
This magical device was designed with the unique sensibility of 29 Pedals, who are also involved in the design of professional audio equipment.
It adds optimal resolution and sweetness to any setup, ensuring superior sound in all situations.
■ Overall sound conditioning + more!
Lots of true bypass pedals, patch cables, splitters, and long shielded cables to the amp.
A guitar signal routed around a pedalboard loses vitality and ruins the sound you've worked so hard to create.
While it's common to place an output buffer or gain pedal at the end of your pedalboard to smooth out the overall effect, OAMP is designed to replace these devices.
It has ample headroom, clean gain and ample output current capacity for beautiful drive sounds.
Two toggle switches allow for complex gain and tone changes with 29dB of gain and 20dBu of clean output level.
This not only conditions the overall sound, but also completely prevents degradation of sound quality due to the long cables from the board to the amplifier, and also allows for more detailed sound editing.
It makes your setup sing louder while minimizing any fundamental sound changes.
■Function details
P: Presence control. Turning it fully clockwise provides mild shaping, while turning it counterclockwise adds a subtle mid-scoop to the sound, similar to the tone control on an amplifier.
L: Level control. This is a trim control located between the two gain stages. When both gain stages are low and Presence is full, the maximum gain is 6dB. When both gain stages are high, the maximum is 29dB.
I: Input gain stage. Choose between High, Low, and Bright. Bright adds some top-end sparkle to the Low setting. This stage is located before the Level control.
O: Output gain stage. Choose between Low, High and Dark. Dark cuts the top end of the High setting. This stage is located after the Level control.
- WHATEVER Power Supply The WHATEVER power supply supports all power types, from 7.5 to 35V, AC or DC, center negative or positive.
By creating a perfectly managed power supply using a step-up switching regulator circuit and a linear regulator and supplying it to the circuit, it is possible to extract 100% audio performance without changing the sound, regardless of the type of power supply you have.
・SEND/RETURN
When the OAMP is turned off, the SEND/RETURN external loop is activated, allowing you to switch from clean drive to hard distortion or use a different preamp.
It's like creating another channel within your pedalboard, offering creative routing options and allowing you to freely switch between pedal chains.
It's also useful for vintage-style fuzz pedals that you want to keep separate from your pedalboard. When there's nothing connected to the loop, the OAMP goes into true bypass mode.
・DIY friendly
OAMP is designed to be DIY friendly.
The op-amp is socketed, allowing you to quickly try out various parts.
The PCB also includes a DIY guide that allows you to make various modifications.
By simply unscrewing the main body, you can quickly access the entire audio circuitry without removing the board, while avoiding interference with the power supply.
When shipped, the pedal is designed to produce the best sound 29 Pedals believes possible, but users can also customize it to their liking.
(If you modify the product yourself, the domestic warranty will be void. Please be aware of this before attempting this. We do not provide support for inquiries regarding modifications.)
