Description
Description
"DIRECT VOLUME" delivers high sound quality, high durability, and smooth volume changes!
The ideal volume pedal requires high sound quality, high durability, and smooth, musical volume changes. The Direct Volume has been designed to address the problems of conventional volume pedals and incorporates a newly developed full-rotation belt drive system to create this ideal volume pedal.
The direct volume pedal uses FREE THE TONE's unique full-rotation belt-drive system, which rotates the variable resistor with a gear and belt. Unlike conventional designs that use a string to rotate the variable resistor, this system eliminates mechanical play when rotating the variable resistor, resulting in smooth, linear volume changes in response to pedal operation. Passive volume pedals can also have a problem: even if the impedance of the two devices is matched, the variable resistor does not turn fully clockwise when the pedal is depressed, leaving an unusable rotation range, resulting in a drop in level when connected. The full-rotation belt-drive system is precisely designed to allow the variable resistor to rotate fully from minimum to maximum, solving this problem.
To minimize changes in sound quality and achieve a musical sound, the Direct Volume uses the best parts through which the signal passes, and the volume curve is optimized. The housing that houses these internal mechanisms is designed to be sturdy, preventing problems such as housing distortion.
After more than two years of development, we have created the ideal volume pedal without compromise.
The DVL-1H is a high-impedance volume pedal.
It is used by connecting it after devices with high output impedance, such as guitars/basses with passive pickups, fuzz pedals, and vintage effects.
* Equipped with FREE THE TONE's unique full rotation belt drive system.
(Instead of the conventional mechanism of turning a variable resistor with a string, this one turns the variable resistor with a combination of belt and gears.)
*Direct Volume eliminates the unused range of the variable resistor found in conventional volume pedals.
By making full use of the variable resistor, the drop in volume that occurs when connecting is prevented.
*By turning the variable resistor with the belt and gear, the variable resistor can be turned linearly, and the volume changes directly in response to pedal operation. *The belt used has a built-in wire to prevent problems such as the belt stretching or breaking over time.
* Carefully selected parts are used to minimize changes in sound quality and produce a musical sound.
*The pedal section of the housing is made of 5mm thick aluminum, and the body is made of a composite chassis made of aluminum and steel. This sturdy housing can withstand long-term use and prevents problems such as distortion of the housing.
