★Flagship model of open-air headphones that produces precise sound images in a vast stereo sound field.
The newly designed driver is the largest of any AKG product, measuring 53mm in diameter, and is driven by a powerful magnetic circuit with a magnetic flux density of 1.5T (Tesla). This delivers a wide dynamic range while accurately reproducing even the most subtle signals.
◎The voice coil is made of a two-layer copper-clad aluminum. It is extremely lightweight, and combined with the high-magnetic-force magnetic circuit, it significantly improves transient characteristics and expands the playback frequency range from 5Hz to 54kHz.
The diaphragm is made of composite material, which significantly improves damping performance while suppressing split vibrations. In addition, the center of the diaphragm is equipped with an airflow dome structure with a cylindrical part in close proximity, which controls the flow of air into the housing and further reduces distortion.
◎The open-air housing prevents unnecessary resonance inside, creating a natural sound field that feels like listening to a live performance.
◎The driver is highly sensitive and has a low impedance of 36 ohms, allowing for high-quality monitoring even when used with portable devices.
◎The around-ear ear pads, which completely cover the ears, feature a three-dimensional structure that increases the area that comes into contact with the back of the ear, and 3D slow retention technology that maintains the shape of the surface that comes into contact with the ear. This provides a comfortable fit while reducing pressure on the sides of the head. They also use "protein leather," a functional material with a leather-like texture that is highly absorbent and retains moisture, helping to maintain the appropriate humidity inside the ear pads.
◎The headband has a mesh structure that prevents stuffiness and can be adjusted to 11 different lengths. The connection to the housing uses a sturdy metal universal joint. It moves freely, allowing the housing to maintain the optimal angle relative to your head.
◎The overall number of parts has been minimized and neodymium magnets have been used in the magnetic circuit, achieving a lightweight design.
◎The housing is made of die-cast aluminum with an anodized finish for rust prevention, achieving excellent durability. The cable connection part uses a LEMO connector for improved reliability.
◎Includes a wooden headphone stand that keeps the ear pads in place for a long time.
