Description
Description
In 1984, we pioneered color-coated cymbals with COLORSOUND 5. During the heyday of music videos on television such as MTV, these cymbals became a means of expression for bands and artists.
In the 1990s, Terry Bozzio produced "VISIONS," and in recent years, a series of color-coated cymbals have appeared as specific artist-inspired models, such as Stewart Copeland's Blue Bell Ride, Aquiles Priester's Giga Bell Ride (Black), and Danny Carey's Dry Heavy Ride (Purple). Other color-finished cymbals have been available for custom order, including cymbals for world-class artists Joey Jordison, Tico Torres, and Paul Bostaph.
The Color Sound 900 cymbals are based on the flexible and great-feeling 900 Series models being released at the same time, and by coating them in four different colors, they have a drier sound with a slightly shorter sustain and stronger attack.
The finish of the Color Sound 900 is the result of Paiste's accumulated research and the tireless efforts of its craftsmen. It retains the natural appearance of the razing and hammering marks while giving off a brilliant shine. In particular, based on decades of experience in colored cymbals, we have rigorously pursued durability, so the paint will not peel off easily under normal use.
A bright, responsive splash with quick decay and an impactful attack that matches a wide range of musical styles.
