Coated Black by ASPR

Introducing a new collaboration head with ASPR, which comes standard with the Type-R snare drum, a unique rock sound that sets it apart from previous Canopus concepts!

Specializing in mid/low frequencies, producing a rock sound with a low center of gravity

"A head that combines the clarity of a single ply with the deep bass of a double ply."
This unique drum head overcomes the four key challenges posed during the development process for the Type-R snare drum head: black, coated, deep bass, and clarity. It's crafted using a special clear coating applied to a dedicated black film, tightly wrapping the film in a heavy-duty color (sash). Combining the clarity of a single-ply head with the robust bass of a double-ply head, this drum head is ideal for rock music. The transparent coating also eliminates the color transfer issue common with traditional black-coated heads, preventing staining of sticks or other heads.
The coated black finish, realized in collaboration with Asapura, can be experienced not only on the Type-R but also on other snare drums.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
