Description

Made in Germany! Timpani mallets made from high-quality materials now in stock!

ROHEMA was founded in 1888 in Markneukirchen, a city known as a musical town in the eastern German state of Saxony (formerly East Germany).

The company name is derived from the initials of founder Robert Eduard Hellinger and the city where it was founded, Marknuekirchen. In the early days, the company mainly produced mallets and baton instruments, but today, with the addition of fifth-generation members Maik and Tobias Hellinger, the company has maintained its traditions for over 120 years, using its secret woodworking techniques to produce a wide range of products, including mallets, baton instruments, drumsticks, and hand percussion instruments.

[Tonkin Series]
The Tonkin series is a mallet that uses bamboo for the grip.
It is lighter than wood, allowing it to express subtle nuances and accents, and is also highly durable.
It has a stronger attack and a quicker sound response than the Eco series.
Rim shots are possible, but we recommend avoiding them as the grip is too thin and the ball is prone to breaking.

Material: Bamboo Hardness: Soft
Felt Ball Size: 35mm
Size: 380mm x 10mm
