Description

[The Cymbal That Launched Popular Music – Legendary sounds remastered for a new generation of drummers]

Avedis

Swing jazz, bebop, and rock 'n' roll were all the rage in the 1930s through the 1960s. They are the foundations of popular music that continue to shine through the ages. The cymbal sounds that informed these genres have been reborn as a new addition to the Zildjian A family.
Named "Avedis" in honor of Avedis III, who was a key figure in Zildjian at the time, this series features cymbals that have been "remastered" to capture the legendary sound for a new generation of drummers.

The unique playing feel of a thin cymbal allows for highly musical expression. A vintage finish reminiscent of a well-worn old cymbal. The weight of each cymbal is handwritten on the back of the cup. Vintage-style groove processing creates excellent response and feel. The surface features the "Avedis" signature taken from Avedis Zildjian III's passport. The original white Zildjian logo is printed on the back of the cymbal. The trademark engraving is reproduced using a roller, as was used in the 1950s, rather than a laser.

*This cymbal is made using a special process that gives it a unique color, reminiscent of a cymbal that has been used for decades. The color may vary from cymbal to cymbal, but this is not a product defect.
To preserve the unique color and luster of this cymbal, do not use cymbal cleaners or other cleaning solvents on this product. Instead, wipe off any dirt on the cymbal with a dry cloth.
Do not store cymbals in direct sunlight or in high-temperature locations, as this may cause deterioration of the cymbal's finish. Also, do not attach tape or stickers to the surface of the cymbal.

Model: Crash/Ride
Size: 20 (For 18-inch to 22-inch cymbals, there is no strict definition of crash or ride.)
Weight: Thin to Medium Thin
